Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to do to start doing business with Aqua Marines?
Contact Aqua Marines and we will send you a simple Customer Information Form for you to fill out and email it back to us. We will set up your account with the information you send us and you will be ready to place your order.
How do I know what is available to order from Aqua Marines?
Aqua Marines emails weekly current lists to all of our customers on Sunday evening for the following week. The lists are Specials, Rare and Unusual, Availability and our Price Guide. We are also able to update you on daily arrivals during the week via a phone call.
How far ahead do I need to place my order with Aqua Marines to have it arrive on the day I want it?
Aqua marines ships on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to arrive at your destinations airport the following day. We prefer to have your order one day before you want it shipped. However, if you prefer, we can receive your order on the day you want it shipped as long as it arrives to us by 9:00 A.M. Pacific Standard Time.
How do I pay Aqua Marines for my shipments?
The preferred method is using a Visa or Master Card. If you are able to ship with Southwest to your destinations airport we can send your shipment C.O.D., Certified Check or Money Order. The other airline carriers no longer accept C.O.D. as a means of payment.
How does Aqua Marines send my shipments to me?
We ship via the major Airlines to your closest airport. You pay the airlines directly for your freight charges with a Credit Card, Cash or Your Company Check. You may also be able to open a freight account with your airline.
Why does Aqua Marines call our Price List a Price Guide?
Because we deal with saltwater livestock from so many different places our prices tend to fluctuate slightly depending on their countries of origin, ever changing freight rates and differences in supplier’s prices. We do our best to keep our pieces as stable as possible and always pass on any specials we get from our suppliers. If there are any real significant price increases we always let our customers know before we ship.
What about Shipment D.O.A.’S?
In the unlikely event that there are specimens that arrive dead in your shipment, not due to airline delays or mishandling, Aqua Marines will replace them in your next shipment. If there are D.O.A.’S caused by airline delays or mishandling it is the customers responsibility to file a claim with the airlines. Aqua Marines will work with our customers to do anything possible to make sure the airlines take responsibility to pay for any D.O.A.’S due to their fault.
